Rapid & Safe Disinfection Solutions

Our international experts have listened to and studied customers from more than 70 different countries, with every effort aimed at developing and improving high-end disinfection products.

These products seek to unite ecofriendly solutions with the highest levels of hygienic efficacy. That’s why we partner with Huwa-San and Roam Technologies, both of whom carry out and act on the ethos that “science is part of nature and nature is part of the solution”.

This attitude, combined with a state-of-the-art production facility and a team who are experienced in production and quality management, created the conditions you need to solve today’s increased disinfection challenges.

To better improve your products and results, the R&D facilities include a tightly managed clean room environment to prevent contamination, a closed loop formulation unit and internal laboratory.

Hygieia-San’s formula is water based, with hydrogen peroxide, a common chemical used in disinfectants. Hydrogen peroxide is a very unstable chemical. It slowly decomposes into water and oxygen molecules, becoming less effective over time. Most cleaning products will add harmful chemicals to help stabilise the hydrogen peroxide. Hygieia-San is not like that. Rather than compromise on health and safety, we use a hydrogen peroxide formula that’s uniquely stabilised with silver ions which have natural antimicrobial properties; this stabilises the formula and enhances its effectiveness–in some cases to the tune of 20 times more than any other product.

This formula is globally proven to be a superior biocide against a plethora of microorganisms, including biofilms, yet at the same time does not harm animals, humans and our planet. Unlike standard disinfectants, our product works by penetrating the cell wall of the microbe, damaging its genomic DNA and proteins, which are essential to the microbe's survival. This causes mutations and eventually death.

All products are ISO certified and hold the highest international certificates, such as NSF and CONTROL UNION. They’re also all 100% biodegradable, non-staining, non-corrosive, non-toxic, safe and
have no taste, all without the need to rinse.

Hygieia-San’s global partner, Roam Technology, is a family-owned, science-based, disinfection and performance specialist from Belgium. Their technicians specialise in the production of worldwide hygiene solutions.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY BACKGROUND.png

Advanced Technology

Independent studies prove that the active formula achieves a particularly close interaction with the microbe cell’s surface, even when the microorganism is present in the biofilm.

This makes it possible to reach the biofilm interior and still oxidise the microorganism.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Hygieia-San's formula is effective against the formation of biofilms, as well as the eradication of preformed biofilms

  • Post-reaction, the solution will decompose into water and oxygen, leaving behind no toxic residue

  • Because silver ions are so small, they reach and disinfect smaller areas - places larger molecules sanitise

  • Hygieia-San technology offers a range of disinfectants, each offering a balance of reactivity and stability.

  • Reduced catalase activity

HUWA SAN RAPID & SAFE BACKGROUND.png

Huwa-San Rapid & Safe
Disinfection

Huwa-San is an eco-friendly, 100% biodegradable and highly effective broad-spectrum disinfectant that is stabilised with the addition of ionic silver.

Huwa-San is totally safe and highly recommended for the disinfection of all surfaces, water and air.

The Science of Product Quality Control

Product quality is assured thanks to our state-of-the-art production facility, combining an experienced
multi-disciplinary Production and Quality Management team with operations contained by fully automated filling lines housed in a controlled environment (cleanroom) to prevent contamination. Our research facilities are “closed loop” and entirely secure.

The main difference between Huwa-San and regular hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) lies in the quality of our formula’s hydrogen peroxide and the introduction of high-grade ionic silver to act as a stabilising agent. H2O2 alone is not stable and decomposes into oxygen and water, losing efficacy quickly.

Besides acting as a stabiliser, our ionic silver also serves to re-energise any unused hydrogen and peroxide. The efficacy therefore continues for a longer period than with similar products.

This innovative technology is unique, making Huwa-San products non-residual, extremely powerful disinfectants.

  • Superficial action

  • Fails to eliminate biofilm, with bacteria remaining trapped in place

  • Results in poor hygiene and high risk of recontamination

THE EFFECTIVE TOOL FOR INFECTION CONTROL

The Target

Biofilm is a bacteria’s protective layer, its shield. It defends bacteria from disinfectants and detergents. It’s found on almost any surface and can build up to several microns thick.

Within Biofilm

Inside a bacteria’s biofilm is multiple “Health Care Associated Infections”, or HCA, such as MRSA, ESBL, VRE, C.diff, norovirus, salmonella, E.coli and COVID-19. This is why it’s so vital for a disinfectant to be able to successfully penetrate a bacteria’s biofilm.

The Challenge

Historically speaking, biofilms have been almost impossible to remove, allowing bacterial colonies to thrive. Biofilms have dispersal periods in which newly created bacteria are released, in turn forming new colonies and more biofilm. A single disinfectant is not effective.
